Two prescriptions essential to my health would cost more than half my monthly rent, even with Medicare coverage. Living with a disability, I could not imagine how I would afford the medications I needed.

Prescription Assistance
I am so grateful to have discovered California Benefits Support Center’s Vision Care Assistance Program! I had been putting off getting much-needed eyeglasses because I simply could not afford them on my limited income.
When I reached out to CBS, Lorena, one of their dedicated Health Navigators, took the time to explain the program and eligibility requirements clearly and professionally. She made the application process simple and guided me every step of the way.
Once my eligibility was confirmed, I was able to schedule an eye exam with an authorized provider. From the application process to my optometrist appointment, everything went smoothly, and I felt supported throughout the experience.

Vision Care Assistance
I had a wonderful experience with the Prescription Assistance Program. I first learned about the program at the Carson Senior Fair in the fall of 2025, where I had the pleasure of meeting Pamela Hensley. She provided me with valuable information, and after I reached out to her, she guided me through the application process. Lorena Madrigal later continued to assist me, always responding promptly and thoughtfully to my questions.
Between January and June 2026, I received four payments totaling $1,160, for which I am truly grateful. Both Pamela and Lorena have provided exceptional service, demonstrating professionalism, kindness, and a genuine commitment to helping others.
I sincerely appreciate all their assistance and would be delighted to enroll in the program again for 2027.
